Why do we only look to the East when seeking answers to spiritual questions?  Our deep relationship with nature has given us a wealth of knowlege, shaping seasonal rituals which have become an integral part of our culture.  In this course we will examine ideas of natural magic that have been bound up in our cultural life for centuries. Above all we assess the relationship between magical thought and practice and science and materialism and ask what relevance they have to the modern world.
